about

Islak Köpek is an electroacoustic free improvisation ensemble based in Istanbul, Turkey. It was founded in 2005 and is considered to be the ensemble that started the free improvisation scene in Turkey. Their self-titled first album was released in 2008 on the Turkish label A.K. Müzik. This is their second album, originally released as a double-album on the Turkish netlabel re:konstrukt in 2009. This is a reissue as a single album after re:konstrukt's unexpected and unannounced cease of operations.

Islak Köpek released a third album in collaboration with German flute player Mark Alban Lotz in 2011 on the Dutch label Evil Rabbit Records.
